Texas Youth Tobacco Awareness Program (TYTAP)

Texas Youth Tobacco Awareness Program (TYTAP)

Tobacco—cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, and snuff—damages your health. Smoking, which is the most common cause of lung cancer, is also a leading cause of cancer of the mouth, throat, bladder, pancreas, and kidneys.

Over 13 percent—3.3 million— of youths aged 12 to 17 used a tobacco product in the past month. Smokeless tobacco contains 28 ingredients that can cause cancer in your lips, tongue, cheeks, gums, and the top and bottom of your mouth.

Our Texas Youth Tobacco Awareness Program (TYTAP) educates participants on the affects tobacco has on the body, the 200 known poisons in cigarette smoke, and the life threatening diseases associated with tobacco use.

TYTAP is an engaging and informative program. We are ready to share the facts with you or your loved one in hopes of a commitment to healthy living being made. TYTAP is an 8 hour course over a 4 day period. The cost of the Texas Youth Tobacco Awareness Program is $75 due at the time of registration.
