National Stress Awareness Month

April is here and you don’t want to be a fool and ignore your stress. That’s right, this month is National Stress Awareness month and we here at BES Group & Associates/Solutions Plus want to make sure that you are stress free! So you live. So here’s some tips:

  1. Exercise -The easiest way to relieve stress in your life is to exercise! You can go for a walk or run for at least 30 minutes a day, ride a bike, yoga, kickboxing, etc. Do whatever you can handle to get your body moving and afterwards you’ll notice how much better you feel.

  2. Meditate -There are several forms of meditation and no, you don’t have to sit Indian-style with your hands out. One form is mindfulness meditation. With this form, you are focusing on breathing. Which you may forget to do if you find yourself in a state of stress. Many people living with anxiety often struggle with shortness of breath during an anxiety or panic attack which if not treated, can lead to other problems with the body. Give it a try.

  3. Hobbies -Having some kind of hobby or doing something that you thoroughly enjoy often can reduce stress. So find that thing you love to do whether it’s art, writing, dancing, cooking, etc.

  4. De-cluttering -Take the time to clean up the space around you. A cluttered space often reflects a cluttered mind so clear your space for a clearer mind.
